Beyonces Emeralds & the Grammys~

February is the month for “Love”. And Valentines day is only days away~
Most men think of it as a “Hallmark” Holiday. But in all actuality it has a story and a place in history as to how Valentines Day began. And why we exchange cards and letters to this day!
The start of Valentines Day didn’t have that much of a romantic beginning. The Holiday began when a Saint named Valentine was imprisoned for performing weddings for soldiers who were forbidden to marry and for ministering to Christians, who were persecuted under the Roman Empire. When he was in prison, he healed the daughter of his jailer Asterius.  Before his execution he wrote "from your Valentine" as a farewell to her. Since then Valentines day has been celebrated in his honor…

Since January we have already had a few awards shows to ohh and ahh over. The Golden Globes, BAFTA (the UK version of the Oscars) and most recently the Grammys. Gorgeous jewelry was seen sparkling from all directions!
Did you happen to notice Kelly Rowlands formerly of Destinys Child wearing two massive Colombian Emerald rings? How could you miss them, they were enormous! The earrings ( also Colombian Emeralds ) were created by famed jewelry designer Lorraine Schwartz.

Not the best angle of the rings, but you get an idea on the size

If that name rings a bell its because Angelina Jolie rocked a pair of Lorraine Scwartz Colombian Emerald earrings and ring for the Oscars in 2009.

And also Beyonce for President Obama Inaugural Since then the world has begun a beautiful relationship with emeralds!
And, hold your breath~ the Oscars are on February 24th. With large gemstones being used ( we predicted that trend over a year ago!) and Pantones color of the year being Emerald I'm looking forward to seeing large emeralds and gorgeous gems at the Oscars.

Since it is a Holiday for lovers, make tome to show the people in your life how you feel about them. Not just on Valentines Day but all throughout the year!

With that in mind, keep sparkling!
